Just wondering if there are any problems with the postal service in America at the moment. I've ordered some stuff on here 3 week on Monday and no where to be seen, so just thinking it could be a postal issue ???

With recent budget cuts, yes, the USPS has got a few issues. I've noticed shipping times DOUBLE where I live, and others have mentioned similar problems, it's an inefficient branch of a failing government. IMHO it's really worth the 20-30$ to use UPS or DHL, I have no patience for a "priority" package to take 3 weeks to go halfway across the continental US, it's pathetic.

Although there have been a few USPS facilities closing around my area I have not noticed any change in delivery time. I have also sent out a few packages last month and early this month and they all got received at average USPS times(3-5 days).

My package is coming to the UK, I ordered something else in another part of the US and it came last week ?? so it could just be localized to certain parts maybe

Yes, I believe the problems are localized, once your item hits the international grid it's safely on it's way. For me in the southern US it's been a nightmare though.

Things seem pretty much the norm for me. I'm in the southern Indiana area. I always have to add an extra day though, because I'm in a rural area.

In general I have found the USPS to be very fast, efficient, and cost effective. At least in my area they are generally faster than UPS or FedEx and cost less. matter of fact when i order I generally specify USPS shipping if it is available.

Im on Long Island in NY and I haven't had many problems with delivery of packages lately. Keep in mind that thanksgiving is coming up in the US so there is a large volume of holiday mail.

Haven't noticed any problems.

Unfortunately USPS is finally waking up to the fact that people don't send anything through the mail that they don't have to... and mail volume has dropped of significantly.

During the holiday season expect mail to take extra long though... we're not there yet... but will be very soon (thursday and after).
