So getting my laser returned to LaserBTB has been an awful pain in the arse. But I finally get it mailed, and per their instructions, took a picture of the package and the receipt.

And then I get this:

What the hell? So I look on their website...

And then check the picture of the package...

If thats not the address 1) Why the blazes is it on the website then?! 2) Why the hell is it MY fault in any way?

Im seriously pissed off right now. This whole thing is stupid, and I never would have bought the stupid laser if I had known how stupid it would be to return the damn thing when it breaks.

You missed this part:

Q11: Is there a return policy?

Yes, if you are not satisfied with the product within 7 days of receiving it, return it for a full refund minus all shipping costs. Contact laser@laserbtb.com for additional information and procedures.

^
That is pretty important instead of just going on your own to find an address for them.

Yeah most companies dont want you just send something back without first contact them if they even gonna say ok but in this case the laser died quickly so it should go under warranty, but their factory might be on a different adress then the head office or whatever.

Before mailing it off did you contact them and tell them you were returning the laser and maybe get some
kind of RMA number to put on the outside of the package so it goes to the right department on floor 4

I believe your package should have looked something like this>

Yes. I contacted him, he told me to send him a video showing it not working, he emailed me back a form to put in the package I returned my laser in. I did all that, copied down the address which is the same on both the return form and the website. I really don't understand what the hell the problem is, or why this is such a difficult thing.

How return shipping should work:
Email about problem > Verify Problem exists > Send customer return form and shipping info > customer ships laser

If I don't get a replacement/refund over LaserBTB's vague and poorly worded instructions....

Okay apparently I was supposed to use the super detailed address on the return form. Its the same address, just with more detail (?). So either canada post manages to figure it out and deliver it, or they return it to me, or my laser gets lost in the void.

Awesome. Guess who won't be buying any more lasers.

I saw you didnt write laserbtb on the adress why? But either way its not up to canada post they will just pass it though and it will be on the next flight or something then its up to the postmen in china to figure out if the adress is right and deliver it.

Why? Because perhaps I've never shipped anything internationally and I had poorly written instructions on how to do so. Might have something to do with it.

Maybe it will get there.

Apparently you didn't use the detailed address on the form for whatever reasons nor did you name a recipient. Not sure the address you used is enough? What if there are other buildings with 4 floosr on that street--how is China Postal Service going to know who it is going to without a name?

Did you send it Registered Mail or EMS with tracking? What about the address on the Customs forms?

Maybe it will just come back to you.

Shipping within your own country and shipping internationally is literally the exact same thing.

Recipient
Address

There isn't anything "extra-special" that needed to be done. You simply just didn't do some of it.

You should get it back, or if you're lucky, they will receive it.

Yeah there should always be a name or the company its nothing strange really if u ship to china, africa or whatever it must be typed properly to whoever you sending to, company or person.

Give it some time 2-3 weeks is not uncommon when you are dealing with China.

Keep us informed please as it's good to know how they treat you as a customer.

Good Luck :yh:

Of course I didn't get tracking. Its 80$ to have it tracked.

As for how I'm being "treated as a customer". in the last email I got from him, he referred to me as "careless". Honestly at this point LaserBTB can go out of business for all I care. I'll never be buying from them again.

And I don't even mail things in my own country, because mailing anything is a stupid, archaic process that should have either been abandoned or updated years ago.

Okay, now you're just being ridiculous.

Sorry nobody can help you.
