Really? No help for newbies? Seriously, I've searched the forums and what I ask here I haven't found anywhere else.

Are the batteries and charger from lazerer good? Or should I get them from somewhere else.
EDIT: I don't quite understand battery sizes, could someone clear them up for me. I think 2x16430 = 1x18650 by size, but double voltage?

Dragon lasers goggles are fine, but you'll find the shipping to be very expensive. Eagle pair from SL will get to you much faster.

There is a ton of info on batteries... you're better off ordering quality batteries from lighthound, batterjuction, etc,.

One 18650 battery is not the same as one 16340. The 18650 can only supply a maximum of 4.2v, but will have a higher mAh rating (how long it lasts). With two 16340's you double the voltage, but your mAh rating is still dependent on one 16340, so it won't last as long.

Often a laser will work off of one 18650, at reduced power if it is meant to work with two 16340 batteries. The reverse is not true though, so make sure you get the correct batteries for the laser you order.

Btw, if you're going to burn you want a glass lens... if you plan just just leave the laser set to infinity, than a resin lens is not really a problem.

In terms of physical size, the 16340's are thinner and about half as long as 18650 batteries.

I'd get them somewhere else. The charger is rubbish and only charges 1 battery at a time. You can get better 18650's. The 16340's are ok and you probably can't get much better anyway. (if anyone knows different, please let me know:D )

Batteries: Yes, 2 x 16340 is about the same size as a 18650 but would be twice the voltage.

Could I replace the Cyber's resin lens with a glass lens? I'm also interested why the resin lens would be bad for burning.
Also, I asked around and there is a 1$ difference in shipping price between survivallasers and dragonlasers, so dragon would be cheaper. The shipping prices would be 17$ and 18$ respectively.

Yes if you double the voltage that you are supplying to it will most likely make your working laser a non working laser.

:crackup::crackup::crackup: +Rep for funniest advice I've seen this year.

@deathstarlaser - Start using the search bar. You'll find this forum is not big on spoon feeding.
