Ok I just got my 445nm 1w laser built and running and burning. I have no way to measure my power output right now. I am already looking to start on two more handhelds with different wavelengths. I would like to make a green and a red for sure. The only thing is that I am pretty sure I know what components to get to make a 650-660nm. I am not sure of what I might need for a 532nm. It would be sweet to make a yellow handheld while I'm at it.

I have a spare microflex v5 on the way from my 445nm project but I am guessing I cannot use it for a 650-660nm build. I have been looking on Modwerx as far as parts goes. Now to bounce back to the green I have seen the green O-Like modules and I take it that they are self sealed units and you just install them and thats it pretty much? I can't think of any more ideas right now I will post later when I get my head cleared and thinking straight. This is awesome stuff.

I think you can use a Microflex V5 to power your red. As for the green, you'll prettymuch just need a module and a host. It'll likely be case positive, so take that into account when you build.

As for the yellow, your only real option is going to be to mix red and green (I don't think CNI sells their yellow modules), but it's not going to be as visually pleasing as a real yellow wavelength.

Here's a build from rog8811:

Low cost yellow pointer - It can be done

Congratulations on your 445nm build.
Here are a couple of links to send you on your way.
The LOC(Long Open Can) LPC-815 red diode is one you will seen used quite a bit. It is cheap, easy to get, and 'pretty easy' to get out of the heat-sink.;)

This thread starts to stray, but there Are some good ideas for dealing with these diodes and builds of your own...:horse:

You can use the micro-flex for you red build, but many save those for higher powered builds.

And I might as well through mine in there too....:D
