Basically what the title says - in visibility chart 638 is a fair amount higher than 445nm higher but 2W is almost the triple amount in power. Maybe someone here has those those two lasers and can say from experience wich is brighter.

Thanks in advance !

There was a tool for comparing brightness, made by rhd, but it's down right now.

1. higher wavelengths do not mean more visible. visibility peaks around 555nm, and slopes down from there, regardless if it is getting higher or lower wavelength. like a classic bell curve

the 445nm @2W will be very much brighter than 638nm @.7W. esp considering the poor divergence of the red (unless you are getting an optically corrected unit) which will kill the power density and thus brightness, the effect getting worse at longer distances

Is it my problem or not? Somehow I couldn't access the Relative Brightness Tool. The Website is loaded with nothing when I opens it.

Same, here. That link hasn't worked for some time. It was working about month ago and now it doesn't. Is there somewhere you can find the beam brightness information in a chart form?
