Damn thats alot of power for a small diode. says 650mw and 300mw. must be pulsed 650mw.
what would this laser diode be ? a 20x ?

no. those are 16x diodes. i recognize them...

if they're similar to the one's I've had, generally can be pushed to 200mW. NOT 300mW...

not a bad deal if no one bids on it.

a 20x diode would not have those long pins and would have small parts on the pins from harvesting it from a sled. those pins are very long and the diode was never in a dvd burner. it's a 16x for sure.

I've built a couple lasers using the 16x diode I bought off ebay just the same as that one, and no way is it even close to 300mW. "Around 300mW", more like half that. Good price for 150mW though, but there's always the dilda... :

The guy selling that was just to stupid to realize there is a difference between 650nm and 650mW. He meant 650nm. He doesn't even give current specs. It looks like it's just another scam.
