5000mW 5W 808nm Infrared HandHeld Laser

5000mw,5W 808nm Infrared IR Laser Nightvison Flashlight on eBay (end time 16-Feb-11 03:55:10 GMT)

Ordered one about a week ago, privately messaged the buyer and recieved $30 off because thats what ebay would have charged him for listing.

For <$500 its not a bad deal - AT ALL
Ive had 1mW lasers for more

Anyway the laser arrived 8 days earlier than expected - time to pull out the trusy Coherent. Measured around 4880-4910 on fully juiced batteries.

Was able to:
instantly eat paper
shred wood
cut leather
if you held a match infront it would probably just poof into dust

Will upload some photos when i figuire out how to turn the photos 90* clockwise :S My iphone just turns them itself. Really annoying,

metal box
glasses.

IMHO, this is nuts. Please forgive me, no offense, but with such power little mistake and you are on the headlines of the newspaper.

Yobresal bought a similar model and only measured ~500mW. What is the current draw?

Absolute shambles.
The laser was dropped and now it outputs 44mW.
Im very upset after about a year of having this laser!
Its excellent for hunting no doubt.
