In my area, quite a few small planes are in the air to view the fireworks show.
Please be cautious. They are impossible to see once the show starts.
I'll be leaving mine home that night.
Have a safe and fun 4th

Thanks for spreading the word! Most of the aircraft around here are larger 737's but I don't doubt I'll see smaller planes as well! No nighttime beam shooting that night :D

Great to hear you guys using precautions on a great day for our country. The last thing we need is another news report to hinder our fabulous hobby. I think we had enough of brainless folks doing dunb things with lasers. Hats off to you good thinking .

I mostly have A-10s and stealth bombers flying right overhead. So I try to avoid hitting the military aircrafts.

A good reminder as it is very tempting to take a laser because the beam shows up really well in the smoke from the fireworks and you can "steal the show"

I feel like its kinda a dick move to fill the firework show with lasers! So let the show happen by itself. I have seen a few vids with fireworks involving lasers and it kinda ruined it for the rest of the people. Not everyone likes lasers.
You can light the mortars with a laser if that makes you feel better! Just be careful and remember you might have others watching your blinding laser!

Actually it is very neat to see the two together. This Friday and Saturday in my area there is a fireworks/lasers show that has been happening for the past 10 years and gets bigger and more popular each year they have it. I plan on attending and will take some video to share. Don't knock it till you try it :)

I guess what i meant is that not everyone likes lasers. A lot of people think we are just hell bent at hitting planes or annoying people so i could see how it could 'ruin' a show for some one. Thats all. Dont get me wrong.. Lasers and explosions is good times!!
