This is the first that I've heard of them, they look pretty nice, lots of copper that's for sure.
The price doesn't seem too bad either considering the amount of copper and machining.

So does this mean a whole new standard of host building regarding sizes? I can see all the big monster flashlights now flying of the shelves at Home Depot! For one split second when he said now available April 1st I thought it was an April fools joke:)

They look great but I don't know off the top of my head what they are meant to fit. So, what are they meant to fit? Maglight or MX-900?

Hi GSS,
We will see what it could fit in but for now i'm waiting on the order to ship. Just hope we can use it that way or another 35mm a little over 1in. nice piece of CU for a 9mm diode.

I would have to look but I think my MX900 are tapered so they may be a direct fit for just those xyz in the link you gave.

Hi,
I should have my order by the end of the week if jordan ships today. I have 7 pieces heat sinks for the MX900 in the 12mm form that i bought from matt before he sold out, i will see if they are compatible. And i have a few XM900 hosts also we will see.

Those are bound to get a good thermal bond with the entire back of the diode plate, other than the pin area that is, but all the way out to the edges of the backing plate will transfer heat, there must be some bigger stuff coming. ;)

There are 25.4 mm per 1 inch

They are a direct upsize to the 12mm version with one difference they have two screw holes in the back half for a new driver that lazeerer is building. It will bolt right on the back of the sink and press the regulator up against the copper for easy sinking.:)

So are they meant to fit other things than the xyz? (Without machining).
I'm going to buy one regardless.

Big improvement. :gj:

@ Pman, host will just need a 35mm hole rather a 12mm hole.
I really like the driver mount with 2 screws, that makes it worth it right there. :)

@ DTR: I'm going to order a 35mm drill bit, or should it be 36 or possibly 34?

Wow a 35mm I.D. 1/4 thick aluminum tube and make a spring board mount and a battery spacer, these could be fun.

35mm is exactly 1 3/8 That means off the rack thick wall tubing should work.

They should fit this led lenser nicely if your willing to spend $100
I have started liking the Coast HP 14 for a larger host.

Understand that RED;) I want to know the information like badboy is looking for. A direct plop it in host:) Not interested in a $100 host unless it is more like what Ehg would build to make it fit.
