That's a 2 watt diode, yes it is a real 2watts, if you drive it correctly. Check out Survival Lasers for their c6 no diode bundle, than go to dtr and purchase the same diode in a module already. It will be a little more money but it's much easier for your first build, food for thought? (If it's your first build) :)------ that video is for a different diode, the m140 is a blue (445 nm) diode

Yes, you need a driver/module/heatsink to use this diode. It won't be of any use without those.

The laser in the video is a Viasho 532nm (DPSS of course) Llab/OEM unit,

what do you mean? how can i use those? easiest way pls??

How can you use what? The diodes? Modules? Drivers? Heatsinks?

Go look through some of the sticky posts on this forum. The answers are already there, there are guides with pictures and instructions.

Once you've done that, if you're still stuck, come back to this thread and ask specific questions. Or start a new thread asking specific questions.

For your first build, read my last post and follow the directions. Many people here including myself went to Survival than to Dtr for their first build. It will get your feet wet. And it's a heck of a strong laser. Just make sure you get safety glasses, because there's no "do overs " one mistake and you or some else could lose an eye very quickly. So if you decide to build please read up on laser safety first. These are no toys they can/will do permanent damage. Enjoy and be safe. Please!
