They are the same size but they are different in chemistry. A 10440 is a Li-ion cell which has a voltage of 3.7V and 4.2V at full charge. The energizer is non rechargeable with a voltage of 1.5V

edit: 10440 is basically aaa size.

As said by Zeebit, I do not think they will work. Plus Energizer batteries add up really fast in cost and I have found them to not be very durable on my laser's. There are plently of companies that sell Lithium(Rechargables) if you hate using UltraFire :)

Do you have a link to the laser?

Alright,

I'll give you a link to a good battery store. I have to find the link again haha

BTW: I don't think that is true 100mW, seeing it's only $44 :)

Ye I didn't really need anything more than a 50mw so I figured I'd go for the 100mw as it's probably under spec.

There are not much other 10440 brands except trustfire/ultrafire/*****fire.

You have a cheapie laser, ultrafires are cheap and you can also get a $2 charger on eBay. Just be careful with these because they're well, cheap.

Forget the energizer ultimate AAA and use the 10440 lithium ion with a dummy AAA cell they work very well and more power output usually 15% more compared to normal AAA batteries and you can recharge them....the energizer ultimate AAA batteries are great batteries and last a lot longer but cant be recharged. So they end up being very expensive in the long run .

Tried Google search but to no end :/

Energizer Ultimate Lithium AAA Batteries

I've found the above batteries, just wondering if I could use these in my laser pointer rather than the cheap ultrafire 10440 one's I have.[/QUOTE]

Before using it, get safety googles, seeing at how cheap it was, Im sure there is no IR filter whatsoever.

an energizer ultimate lithium is comparable to half of a 10440 (when talking about voltage). i took a reading of an ultimate lithium out of the box and it read about 1.9V, whereas half of a 10440 would be 2.1V @ full charge. So, if you have an application where rechargability is a must, you can use a 10440 and a spacer (most of the time). though sometimes sensitive devices can't handle the extra power such as a cheap 3V True 5mW module. most eBay pens can handle the extra voltage though.
