1 year Anniversary! Thanks guys!

So technically, the anniversary was yesterday, but i was busy all day. I had my first date

Funny. My first date (with a girl mind you) happened EXACTLY one year after i joined this forum.

Neat eh?

Anyways, from when i started to now, I have partaken in so many projects I cannot count them all. In just a year, I can't even remember how many lasers i have built. Going From noob ---> somewhat-well-versed-member was a great journey. I feel confident in my building skills, and i have yet to kill a diode!

The thing is, this hobby saved me. Since middle school, i had been going through phases. Different hobbies that lasted about a month or two. Some times three. I never found anything fun in those hobbies, and then i started lasers. Three months later, i was still going strong! Another three, another three, and then one more.

And here i am today. A considerably knowledgeable member.

It has been a great ride so far, and i hope to stay for years to come.

Just remember "loose lips sink ships" Good luck with your first date, I still remember my first date some 40 yrs ago. Glad you found a hobby you enjoy. Heck, your track record is better than mine. I've let the magic smoke out of a couple diodes. Lately it's been going pretty good though.

Congratz on both your first date and 1 year! Not quite 1 year here for me, but If having a first date was a competition I beat you... But we tie on the fact we've never killed a diode
