Greetings,

Can anyone recommend me a way to stick a T0-220 heatsink onto a powerful diode driver? I've seen two types on Amazon - silver metal, and some kind of ceramic oxide, both in epoxy tube pairs. Is this the right way to go? I intend to fix a micro fan blowing on the heatsink, which seemed to do the trick in the test setup I built temporarily.

The driver is not in any module - its on 3" wires that go to the laser module itself (an Aixiz module).

Or you could use a bolt and nut

do you have a picture of your heat sink ?

generally for that package you use a bit of thermal grease then bolt it down. you can just epoxy it and you can also epoxy and bolt.

There's no bolt hole on the actual driver. Anyway, here's a pic of what I have:

I see there is no mounting tab on you device, these are held to the heat sink with a spring clip in most cases then.

I would buy the Arctic Alumina to attach it then, be sure to clean both surfaces good with some alcohol to remove
all traces of the heat sink compound that is there now.

Good luck and happy lasing
