Well I lived on Mac&Cheese for awhile and purchased three Lux-Pro Lp600 flashlights to use as hosts. Like the rubber they have around the handle seem to real comfortable in the hand. Also purchased an 08 and two 05's. One with the G-ball intact and the other with a G2 lens, ( wanted to compare them ) Got the drivers pre-set. The 08 at 5.0amps, the 05 with the g2 at 4.5 amps and the g-ball at 4.0 amps. Got some solid copper heat sinks from Lifetime, got all the parts so it's picture time :)

Great job! How does the 08 compare to the 05s in terms of power, visibility and beam specs and what's the beam on the 05 like (with Gball) compared to G2?
Edit: Rep in coming, must spread some first...

@ Antharak and Grainde; Give me a bit and I will try to do some measurements on the beam difference between the two 05's. Was so tried after finishing the builds and posting last night I needed a break. Will try to update either today or tomorrow. Thanks for the koodo's and rep's :)

Hi BM
I knew you would get around using those sinks buddy. Great job and nice diode choice to .

Rich:)

Thanks Rich! You did a great job on the heat sinks at a real good price also, they fit just prefect, besides their pretty all polished up.:). Still having a hard time trying to solder to the aluminum pill. Had to solder to the edges of the contact board than press fit the contact board in the pill. It's pretty tight/snug. Seems to be a good connection? Going to post some beam comparisons of a 05,06,07,08 and a 44 , when I get some time. Thanks again ! :)

Hi BM,
here is what you do for a connection with a board and an AL pill.get a piece of CU wire solder it to the ground on the board and bend it over the edge the thickness of the wire will dictate the snugness when you press it in. Now the board wont move or come out ,besides the batteries will keep additional pressure on the board.
Oh about all that Mac & Cheese you better get your cholesterol checked buddy. All that Cheese and Carbs get the dietetic brand , either that or start lifting to use the carbs :)

That's pretty much what I did with the ground wire but it's sure is nice to know I was on the right track.

As far as the m&c goes, if I build/lift larger lasers does that count? :)

Nice hosts guys. When you can get around to it could you add some close up pics of the host?

Thanks a bunch, EP. Always nice to hear that. Yes, they are rather convenient host, the heat sink has got close to three times the mass as a c6, so run time soooo much better. About the same length just 1/2 times larger in diameter. Got the rubber around the handle which makes it real comfortable in the hand. Real easy to build also. Just got the enlarge the corners of the pill so the driver fits a tad bit better and the rest is basic.
