I was googling for 604nm (orange is my favorite color) to see what known sources there were outside of VERY rare HeNe. I found this here There's not much, and I haven't read much of the references or citing articles, but the abstract reads:

"Lasing on several transitions of the B2J→X2J band of zinc‐iodide (ZnI) with wavelengths ranging from 600 to 604 nm has been demonstrated. Pumped by the dissociative excitation of ZnI2 (using an ArF excimer laser), this laser exhibits many of the optical and chemical properties of the HgBr2 blue‐green dissociation laser."

Any ideas on this? I haven't heard of this until now.

This journal article dates back to 1981, too bad I only have online access as far back as 1984...

It was pumped by an Argon-Fluoride eximer laser. Translation = giant expensive lab unit.

Sig summed it up. There's another website set up like that one you linked, avoid the two when seeking information about buying, it's highly unlikely they
A) have been made, much of the info is theoretical
B) still exist
C) cost lest than $10,000

Well that idea is shot, thank you for the information though. I will continue looking for more outlets for orange, my apologies for wasting your time.

Well you are not the only one looking for hard to get/find wavelength. I have been reading that aryntha (i believe) is trying to get some pretty rare lasers aswell that cost alot of money. IMO most of it comes down to being at the right place at the right time to find the deal.
