Howdy all, another thread of a vintage HeNe that I picked up for those that may be interested.
(my other recent vintage HeNe thread...http://laserpointerforums.com/f43/ls-7000-hene-scanner-71017.html
I recently picked up two of these units from fleebay for about $30. A gamble, but I thought perhaps worth it. I wasn't sure what I was going to get. The description said nothing about the laser type, just that they were from 1985 & 86 model 919. I couldn't find any information on that model so went for it anyways.
When they came one of the units had the cables cut and when I moved it had the familiar sound of broken glass within glass
This was to be the one on the "chopping block".
After taking it apart some I found the label on the tube as 089-0. It has still been hard to find any information on a PSU for this, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. I may not need the original PSU for this unit but if someone knows the power need that would help.
I was able to find a photo of the tube on Sam's page and i'll start my photo's with that.

The tube itself is somewhat unique from what I personally have seen before.
It's a bit wider than most. Also it has some kind of internal optics and adjustable optics on the outside.

Finally here are some pictures of the wiring hookups for the ....."working"..... unit. I doubt there are many original PSU for this unit, but perhaps I can cut off the plugs and hook it up to a standard HeNe brick. Again if anyone know this information please let me know here or through PM. Thanks for looking:beer:
