STEEEEERIKE TWO!!!! Second Argon - DOA!

My ebay Argon arrived today - DOA... Plasma output for a second and then nothing... nada... click click click... THere is also a rattling inside the tube... Maybe the ignighter or something is broken?

Anyways, they have a DOA return policy so I'm sending that one back...

Batter up for number three!!!! I have another Multiline on order from Dave - the master...

Since you had already bought the laser, I didn't want to say anything to "jinx" it. However, MANY of these 30SL's that have been recycled from graphics machines (the ones with the stainless steel mounting rings on them) are DOA. They get worked to death before they are replaced

I figure thats what happened, the tube was pretty beat up - all scratched...

It flashed the purple plasma halo out the end of the tube for about a second and then did nothing more...

I made sure to call them when I bought it and make sure they would take it back if I had issues... luckily they are a high volume recycler... so I'm only out the return shipping.

Thanks for the help along the way Dave - hopefully I'll finally be running some multiline goodness next week!

ha (and i dont mean to laugh) - just that, Gas Pains. I know them... I have 4 DOA 2214 40mW ML's here. Some which I paid dearly for.

(Don't know if you're selling any to Escher or have any to sell Dave, but just wanted to say, it's been good for me.)

I can vouch for that. Dave was the person that I got the now-defunct ML I just sold Escher.. Worked perfectly the entire time I had it. I don't know if he hires angels to follow his packages as they make their way to their destinations or what, but whatever it is it works.
