REO LHOR-150M Bare Tube
Finally got my REO and had enough time to play around with it while taking pictures! Not really a thread on this odd tube that I could find on here other than what it does...so while Bloompyle has been researching, I think I'll take a moment to share this thing with you all.
Might be an LHYR tube as well, it is a bit more yellow, but I haven't measured to confirm
The tube itself with its foam bracing on:
The anode end (glass)...as you can see, the anode on this one is much like my brewster tube, with just a pin/rod fused into the glass.
Light her up!
output diffracted: top to bottom is 611.9nm, 604.6nm, and 594.1nm:
.....and here it is with [609.07nm?] line added at its full strength:
and just because there's a huge spacing at the end and a obvious place for a HeNe standard anode clip on the back, I also did a run with the rear anode connection, which ionized that last little bit of the bore, giving it about a .5mW boost in power.
I also note the mirrors are quite thick on this laser...and it emits a pretty good beam out both ends... though the cathode is clearly the main OC. does about 2.5mW out that end, or a little under 1mW out the other end...
