Howdy all!

I am running into something kind of strange with my set-up. I'v done some looking around and not read any clear explanations of my troubles.

I just went to do my monthly run on the old multi-line....plugged it all in, fired up the PSU, turned the key and the interlock light didn't light up.

I am using a remote interface...JDSU(very handy!)

I have always had the switch put to "Remote" and not "Interlock local on"...never any troubles. It also didn't seem to work in local on before anyways so I never asked about it.

Now when I switch it from "Remote" to "Interlock local on" the light on the PSU for interlock comes on strong, but the laser does not seem to want to lase. When I switch it back to "Remote" the light on the PSU for interlock goes out and again(of course) the laser does not lase.

I wanted to ask around before I went stripping things apart that I don't fully understand.
Everything seems to be okay...fan is running fine and strong, both for the laser and the one in the PSU. No shorts that I can see....

Any help or incite would be appreciated!:beer:

I think that your memory is playing tricks on you.

The switch should be in the "Local On" position to control the laser with the model 2500

Interlock
Local
On

Check to make sure that the plugs going into the PSU are snug

Peace,
dave

Thank you Dave.....

Funny I think it is a situation where I just needed to hear that....

I DID TRY THAT....i swear:yh:...and after the usual time it didn't fire, checked and double checked all my plugs...tried in both settings again.....

It's funny how that sometimes happens in life...I run into this....'knowledge bump' in work quite often, I usually just brush it off to...'the way things seem to work'.

Thanks for the help....
Sorry for the wasted thread....

Argon up and maintaining well!!!
