What end are you hooking the + up to ? The glass end or the end with the metal "can" ?

I contacted the seller, and he replaced my power supply. It works great now, and it will run from a 9v. I think I'll make it into a pointer!

Were you running it from a 9v before??? I'd be very careful with that... it might be why it died the first time.

9v can supply a lot of power/current for just a couple seconds and then it drops like crazy. They are only meant to continuously provide about 50mA of current. With that laser you will be drawing over 500mA from that battery. If you really want to make it into a pointer, use three cr123a's.

With the 9v you will have a VERY short battery life, and you will be stressing the heck out of the driver.

The driver takes 300mA-- I know it isn't a good idea but it does not seem to lose power over a while, with the first driver I only powered it with a 12v lead acid
