This head is rated for 8 lines.

467 <4mW
472 <2mW
476 <8mW
483 <4mW
488 15mW
496 <4mW
568 15mW
647 25mW

Also, 502 and 676 are mentioned, but they have an * under output power. I assume that they are basically saying that they're possible, but they aren't guaranteed.

Well I currently have a more stable setup.. More or less. Going to try to get green in.

The rest should populate with more power.

Firing up in 5.

EDIT: 4 blues, now, the additional like is 496 :)

Damn. I saw that before you posted about it and was about to jump on it until I saw it used 208v power. Dunno if I'd have had the patience to get it up and running though.

Up to 7 lines, and by some wizardry, my camera picked up the 568 fairly well :) Also, still working on alignment. Slowly, but surely :)

This laser is quite the stellar performer.

Although we've hit a bit a disappointing impasse. Apparently, something is wonky with the pot on the PSU. I measured the current to tube via the remote port. It maxes out at 9.48A at about a quarter turn. So basically, where I've been considering 25% power, has actually been 100% power...

I get a bit of blue and green around 5A, and a faint glimpse of red at exactly 8A, then full power gives me the above images. Some fiddling with optics, and the laser warming up, gets the 5 blues at 100%.

Perhaps running it for a while with the real fan will remedy this a bit.

What kind of a fan is it? You're using a real blower fan like argons use, right? Otherwise there might not
be enough airflow and the tube is running hot, thus the PSU will not wind all the way out. It could be the
pot itself, though. Hopefully it isn't anything 'worse' than that. I can take pics if you need.

Using the same fan as my Omni 532. Though I have a real fan made for this tube, on the way. Should get here around New Years.

I'm going to check tube voltage, that may tell us something about the health.

This one? That should be more than enough. I would begin to suspect something in the PSU. Is the air
coming out pretty hot?

Yes, that one.

The PSU has a working fan. It just wasn't starting before. It starts when all the interlocks are in place.

PSU doesn't run hot at all, though some fairly hot air comes out of the head. That's why I only run it for about 10mins. Waiting on the real fan for some real run times.

Going to test a different jumper on the remote for current control. We'll see what comes of it.

Yeah it sounds like something in the PSU. It should come right up to 100% when the tube is cold. Got
any pics of the head? It sounds like the correct fan may be fairly large.

That's not completely accurate. Many PSU's have fans that don't fire until power is going to the head. So in this case, it won't start up until I flip on the AC power rocker switch, and turn the key to on. Then all the warning lights go out, PSU starts up, and about 30sec later, the head does.
