Yeah, they re crappy weak those "Lady" Cells.
Found Akku's with just 500mAh but i bet theyre massively underatet, though.

Rog... how about CNC'ing a very very exact slot right into the Laserpointer front wich will hold the PBS cubes or dichros/filters?

I had originaly intended to do just that, the problem is that the red and green come out at all angles so you would still need to tweak the optics.

Have you tried it with a spaced 10440' now?

Yes I did and the green was much too bright for the red so it is not the answer.

what about building a spacer with a resistor inside so you get down the voltage?

Might do better with a 1N4001 diode in the spacer...that will drop the .7v......

How does rog8811 make it look so easy?

It is because I didn't photograph myself banging of my head on the bench in frustration.....or record the expletives that erupted from my workshop at times ;)

Some thoughts for other prospective builders:-
You do not need to turn down the front end of the pointer, this became obvious to me after my design change on the optics.
Try and source a flashlight with a removable front end that will fit the front of the pointer, use that as the holder for the optics. There is always more than one way to skin a cat............

Any one of you can do it, take your time, doing a small bit of gluing and leaving it to dry before moving on to the next bit is the secret. It is worth the effort :).

I finally did follow your build Rog and made one of my own...

This build will also work using 2 turning mirrors from PHR sleds!

I found a nice little optic from a GGW 6X sled as well, that really makes a difference in 'helping' the yellow blend! :)

Check it out!

I don't think you saw the GGW optic upgrade when you commented in my thread. (beam shots and picture comparisons too)

There is also a 10440 mod with a silicon diode shown as you mentioned above... (I get the exact same current draw as the stock batteries!)

Thank you for showing this project. It is one of my favorite builds!
