Re: Yellow pointer *updated*

I am nearly there, new pictures soon ;) (work and family stuff intervened to slow me down)
I am tied to the power supply at the moment, when my new batteries arrive I will do a movie to show it off better.

Something to note, the green gradually dims as it gets warm and the yellow gets better. As a pointer, used with short button presses, the yellow is noticable compared to the green but not as good.

For what it cost it is a bit of cheap fun and another hybrid for my collection :)

Re: Yellow pointer *updated*

I finished it this evening, I am pleased with the result, it isn't the brightest star in the sky but it works :)

I am on old batteries and I get a nice orange rather than yellow..... slightly lower voltage will keep the green in check.... I will ponder more on that one....

Re: Yellow pointer *updated*

I tried a movie but the rendition on my web cam is carp but I hope you can see a difference between green and yellow, I certainly can by eye.

[edit]I have converted the movie to another format as I couldn't get it to run[/edit]

Re: Yellow pointer *updated*

Price Rog Price??

Priceless ;)
I don't want to get involved in making more, I posted my experience to help others to do it themselves.

The only thing I would change on the final construction is, I would mount the filter over the red laser first so that it can be well centred, doing the green first put my red at the edge of the filter....

Afraid not, the front of this one has a male thread, the back of the DX also has a male thread...I did try to use old greenie parts to make an adaptor but the threads are a different pitch.

Wow! I can't believe I didn't notice this thread until now.How are the beam specs compared to each other? Did you try to use fog and visualize the beam? Any chance of some pictures of the beam? ::) Or some long exposure shots so we can see the "line" it "draws".Please please please!!!!

Rog --

Super nice work on this. I've always had fume fog problems with super glue. Keep posting.
