I had built this laser sometime ago, not too long after some of the first "7 Color Lasers" started appearing. I was very impressed by these builds and thought i would have a go at it myself. The idea seemed simply enough, but getting it all to come together in the end proved to be a fun an interesting challenge. Having seen the other builds already posted i figured i didn't need to show mine, figuring it would just be "another" build. But a recent thread made me realize that that was quite stupid of me to think, as i love seeing other peoples builds even though the idea has been done before by others. I always like seeing what people have put together, so heres my contribution.

Thanks for the reality check pianoman2011

Heres two more that wouldn't fit in the first post, it shows the case nicely closed up.

Why not go the extra mile and add scanners? All these white builds are already halfway there.

lol, the usb adapter goes to the switch labeled fan as you said(it used to power on a fan when it was in a different build) then it goes to the "groove" driver on to the red. The wires are running very close to one another so i can see how it would be easy to get confused from just a simple pic.

I'd like to but i know next to nothing about scanners, plus the red and violet drivers would have to be revised with ones that could accept modulation, and i don't know to much about that either :undecided:

Nice!

This is a pretty unique white build. I like the case that you put it in. You can carry it around like a briefcase! :D And I agree, adding in a scanner would be pretty cool.

It actually was the case that my Aries from LaserGlow came in. Its just a simple formed piece of plastic that did have foam inserts for the laser. I think now they've upgraded and provide really nice cases with all their lasers.

Sure can! The power cable is rolled up and stored in the case with the laser when i'm not using it, and the handle makes it easy to carry around. Laser briefcase :D

I want to produce a belt-portable white laser. If anyone can suggest suppliers who can provide the components, in quantity, or even a complete product to my specifications (minimum 5Milliwatt with a one hour duty cycle), I would appreciate it. I have had no luck so far and I have a price point which precludes industrial-grade products.

Anyone?
