The clamps that come with the Survival Laser tripods are good in most cases depending on the size of your laser. Here is a tripod thread I posted. http://laserpointerforums.com/f44/targus-tripod-88257.html

You should add your location to your profile or people will be less likely post links where you could buy things if they don't know at least what country your in.

Thanks I will check it out, and fix my profile, I had searched the forum, but all the threads I saw on the topic were old.

I just got finished ordering the clamp that sits on top of the tripod and holds the laser pointer or flashlight that BowtieGuy showed on his link by logging onto DSLR Rig, Shoulder Rig & Rig Accessories for DSLR Filmmakers and ordering it from them. It cost $11.90. Much less than Amazon wanted for it.

The one starlight found on eBay is cheaper, but smaller also. It only opens to 4 cm while the Smallrig one opens at the tips to 4.4cm and larger in diameter than that.

Best laser clamps are made to hold microphones - so search Greedbay for mic stands /clamps NOT laser clamps--

Jetlasers sells a very nice one but its best bought with other items as the shipping would be too high for just one item--

no time to search for you

I have one of those "small rig super clamps", and agree, they are the best, but I've also been looking for a smaller version of the same style of clamp.

Those clamps that starlight bought should be just about perfect; they are physically smaller, and most importantly, they close to 10mm, while most of the larger clamps only go down to about 14mm.
This will be beneficial when trying to hold pen size hosts.

PS - As Hak says, the best place to search for small tripod clamps is under "microphone" clamps, or holders.
Many of these are very reasonably priced also!

Rifter, the one on eBay is smaller. It doesn't open as far as the Smallrig does. I just ordered one from Smallrig direct for $11.90. And I picked up a small tripod from eBay, that's coming from Ohio. So, I am very interested in seeing how they work together.

Good to know, let me know what the maximum jaw size is when you get it.

For tripods I recommend UltraPod? II | Industrial Revolution
I use it for both my lasers and dslr. I own three of them now :)
