You don't think it's rude to ask for help...?

Is it?

I have to say that was pretty funny. I figured it out it was a dumb rookie mistake. The alligator clip I was using had a cold solder joint. Sorry to waste your time. :D

No question is a dumb question. A teacher told me this and I wish everyone felt that way. I rarely ask question here but want to everyday. I have a curiosity that spirals out of control and could ask questions for days it's my way of connecting with others with my same interest. I want to learn what others know and sometimes can only by asking but fear of being told "use search bar" stops me eveytime. I want to know so many things so I just read and then Google it hoping for a explanation I can understand. There are some super incredible people here with knowledge that is immeasurable but their people skills are missing.
P.S. your user name and avatar are OK by me I actually like them.

Glad you found the issue D.R. I understand what you mean starlight. I have found myself getting unnecessarily getting upset at a thread with very little reason at times and had to step back and rethink. I've also had a hard time looking something up when there's so much diverse information over a list of threads. It's funny to read old arguments though

Yes you are my new best friend here. :yh: That is the infamous line here: "Use the search bar." A lot of members here are very condescending. They may not realize it but they are. I have been here almost 6 years and seen a lot. I stopped asking questions I need help with roughly 4 years ago because I was reading some of the posts and it is ridiculous how new people are treated or people with little or no rep. It is what it is my friend. +Rep to you for your kind words.

You've removed most of my sentence to intentionally misrepresent what I said. That makes you a douche captain. I typically give -3 to douche captains, but I like your other posts, so this is your first and last exception.

And that would be a teenager response. What is a "Douche captain?" I really would like to know how some people function in society and where their standards are? Maybe even morality. Having more or less reputation on a forum for lasers isn't really a top priority of mine. To some it is obvious that is of utmost importance to them. When I submitted my resume to my company I work for I should have mention how much rep I gained on this forum, maybe I would have gotten a promotion and a raise. I am really excited for those who have high class as they hide behind their computer screens and gain more reputation. +Rep to Cyparagon for winning the high standard/class award.

And you, sir, have entirely ignored the point I made and zeroed in on the part that I threw in just for fun.

I found your problem for you, and you repay me with whining, whining, and then whining some more about "how the message was given" while ignoring the message itself.

I really would like to know how some people function in society and where their standards are? Maybe even morality.

Funny how you can complain about condescension, then post this gem. :na:

Not everyone is as emotionally sensitive as you are. If you want to get under my skin, you'll have to do a lot better than that.

Good. -3 :shhh:

Oh darn! What shall I ever do now? You gave me negative rep. I am in deep water now. You didn't find my problem, I did. Here is a great suggestion for you. Go to Home Depot, find some rope, tie one end really tight around your neck and the other from a tree limb, then jump. I brought your standards and morality into it because you called him a douche. I am not emotionally sensitive. Far from it. I call it like I see it. Internet bully on a laser forum who has more "rep" that obviously is really important to you so he can speak to other member however he wants. Rude or not. That is a true gem. If you met me in real life you would think twice about opening your mouth the wrong way to me. That's all now.
