Default Sonic Screwdriver replica from ThinkGeek!

Just came across this:
www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/cubegoodies/8cff/

Looks a little bit on the small side, but how cool would it be to adapt it to an LD housing... It already has UV LED's in it so the power/wiring situation is probably not terrible.

I think we need TimeLord's opinion on this one ;D

A laser screwdriver?!? Are you insane? I thought the Master was no longer a threat!
Still, you'd have to implement isomorphic control, to get a reeeally gizmo.

nice find - what are the dimensions on this thing??
(3 button batteries sort of make it less useful for a pointer unless you can mod it to take something beefier)

Well, I'd still think a laser screwdriver should be orange/yellow

but still, the BR diode is a pretty neat idea, to put that in there. And the BR might even be sustainable with button cells.
