Bored out the ID of the Thor to allow RCR123A's to fit in there. Relatively low fuss mod, hardest part was finding the right tool to fit inside. Ended up with 3-4 minute longer runtime. I may try to do an 18350 next but being I've only had this thing for 2 days I think I'm going to enjoy it a bit before I mod it any more.

Good work on the mod. Just don't take to much of that host wall away and collapse it lol. I guess it only fit 16340 before.. but you can find some pretty decent 16340 out there.

@94Z28 - That was the only reason I didn't go straight for the 18350, it would only leave a >2mm wall which considering the low grade of this aluminum is probably a bad thing.

Damn, I ordered the Efest rcr123A for my Thor 2.
I wasn't aware that they were too thick:banghead:

I did the same thing but I had the understanding they might not fit. While this is NOT A SAFE THING TO DO (SO PLEASE DO NOT DO IT) if I was to remove the battery wrap they would have fit in there but they may never have come out. I used a dremel with a 220 grit sanding wheel to bore most of mine out but then had to move to air tools once I got a bit closer to the business end of the laser as the dremel bit wouldnt reach far enough inside there to complete the job.

I'm going to have to do that some day., Those batteries in your laser are AW IMR 18350's if I'm not mistaken ?
