Real question about burning!

I don't have any goggles!!! Ahhh! I know it was able to blind you if the beam gets into your eyes evin if it's a reflection! And since the glass is going to reflect like heck, I put it in a Woden box! The laser will be mounted on the top of the box pointing down on the inside.

I was only going to need to focus it ONCE to burn upclose... But I have no idea how to do that!!! I was going to where two pairs of sunglasses, or if it's real bright still, I'm going to use welding goggles!

You can use smoke. Get a ruler and some smoke, point the laser away from you along the ruler and apply smoke while adjusting the focus.
The beam will be clearly visible in the smoke and let you focus it to narrowest beam at correct distance.

Smoke machines are cheap.. just bought one myself. $30 online or $40 at your local Guitar Center or equivalent. I bought one at GC here in TX but I'm gonna order some more juice online for cheap. The .5L that comes w/ the machine will last for quite a while too.

Didn't someone post up about heating up glycerin to make fog?

I used Glycerin but when using it in a fog machine you need to water it down a bit because its so thick it will end up clogging up your fog machine over time. I would say to do 80% Glycerin and 20% water.
