hello guys i hope that my following idea has not been discovered by someone else yet...  :D

i have always seen like everybody use only upper part of aixiz module for PEN STYLE build..  :-/

the most common driver for this build is Flexdrive and there is no space for bottom part of AIXIZ..

in my opinion every ittle piece of metal could help SINK some HEAT and also bigger module body can pass to more heat to leadlight body better than small...

i was thinking how to use entire body of aixiz and then i have got ideda which i would like to share with you..

i have used it also for my project..

there is not much to say - picture disclose everything

i just hope that it has not been covered  :-/

I have to ask....How do you screw the back on without twisting the pins off the LD? :-/

good question, but i was hoping that it is apparent..

well you need to solder wires on the diode, then screw back of the module and then wires to the driver...  after that put a tiny layer of insulating tape around the driver of course..

so there is a wired connection between the driver and LD...  ;)  rest of wires you easy hide in a module there is enough space.. just one remark use a SOFT WIRES...

It's more trouble than it's worth. That's why I never use the other half of the aixiz

could you explain why????

if you are using a flexdrive in leadlight you always need to make a wired connection between driver and LD..
this is only way how to use a little bit more METAL to sink some heat...
i am not going to convice anyone to do it like this... i just want to post my idea and if someone else have own solution i am not telling to you use my ideas..

peace guys..  ;)

HI Milan, Although your idea is a good one for additional heat transference, (IMO), I know of at LEAST one person that has already had that idea. About a month ago, someone, & I can't for the life of me remember who, was selling off some spare parts on the forum. Some of the parts included some AIXIZ modules, & one of them was cut in almost the same way as yours is. GREAT minds think alike I guess ;) But SOMEBODY beat you to the punch on this one :( But keep on posting ideas you come up with, if you would. You'll never know when you'll come up with something nobody has thought of before  ;) Way to go MILAN, +1 REP for trying to help the FORUM ;)

That would do it :)
I have made posts myself in the past that I thought made the idea perfectly clear only to have lots of questions on the "how and why".

I still sometimes assume others are on my wavelength (405nm) and find they are somewhere in the infrared ::)
