Smile New Laser Host/DIY Kit For 405nm and 650nm lasers.

I am currently working on a new laser host, that i'm going to sell as DIY kit's for phr-803t diodes, lpc 815/826 diodes, and 6x blu-ray diodes.

Maybe in the future i could find Good drivers with 100% duty cycle that have very little heat output and will fit in the host and make 1-2W 445nm kits!

I do not yet know the price as i'm designing and figuring out the best way to build and make it as easy for the user to assemble. But i know it will be under $50 for the 405nm and 650nm Kits.

Here's the disassembled flashlight - go to this link witch is my website to view the photos since i cannot fnd out how to put picture in a thread.

Link to photo's -

Kudos to you if you are interested , i apologize for my terrible photography and noobish post, i am extremely new to LPF so be easy on me

Feel free to comment on any additional detail you would like to know.

I have one of those built into a 2.2W bad boy sporting a blitzbuck V2 1.8A... How are you doing the heatsink.? I had some issues with that host one being the tailcap switch. It ended up being a momentary switch which I love now that I think about it. Thats a Cost(0 unit, I can't wait until they get there new batch in, sometimes those are great cheapo units.

I'm not to sure on the heat sinking as of now, but i' debating over machining copper or aluminum heat sinks. But if you built a laser out of one these flashlight i would love to see pics

I'll take some pics when I get home. I'll post them in this thread if you don't mind

IIRC I put the blitz on a huge sink on the pill where the driver board use to sit. I like the fact that the pill threaded up to the sink... I was going to build a PHR unit out out of my remaining host (3pack) using the tail switches mode selection. I need to source a boost driver for that build I'm planning on using a 22500 battery for sure though.

Be careful not to overload those tail switches, i dumped 400mA threw one driving a lpc 826 and it killed the switch. so im going to be using PBNO switches on the tail caps and i dont mind if you post pics

I bridged the switch for my build after stripping the factory components off I cannot recall any of their orientation. After looking at your pics I can confirm without a doubt they are identical.

ok, well im going to try to solve the burnout proble by running the lpc 815 kit at 300mA, so i can use the factory switch, but i might look into modifying it to run higher amps, but keep the multi-mode.

I'm thanking you for your time and effort to see if there is a modification to be done on these tailclickys... I would use your fix on these if you were able to come up with one. I have other project forthcoming so this one I leave to you. If it were up to me it might take forever
