Ok, I went to walmart to find the Dorcy Mini light and only found:
This.
I thought it was what I wanted, but no, I guess not.
I bought it anyway and opened it up to have a look-see inside.
Here are the pics:

And lo and behold, the bace of the top-half of the AixiZ housing was EXACTLY the same size as the opening. :D ;D
There is almost half of an inch of space from the opening and the battery!
There IS room to put the all-inportant driver! (Yet, a small one :()
:)

Yes - unfortunately, the "boost" circuit is horrid, and your new laser will only put out about 65-75mw MAX :( Sorry, man :(

I meant more for little lasers.
....
OOO!
Wait!
I just had an idea!! :D
The threads are the same on both sides, so, we can take two of them and put them togeter!
Or three of them, or....
:)
Yay!

Yeah, I had hopes for that little boost circuit myself but it's really bad.
And when I put a cap across the output to smooth the spikes, it shuts down entirely. Yeesh.

Simple solution...use a AA Li-ion battery with the AMC7135 driver...perfect.. :D

Well, AAA in this case.
It'd be strange to build a burner that small.
Might not get much time at full power.
