Ok so I finially started putting it all together
i'm using one of the smaller brass aixiz housings since heat isn't nearly as much of a problem. I notices it was alittle hard to focus so I started playing with the optics in the sled that came with it. I found that one of the lenses helped focus the beam perfectly when added to the lens that came with the housing.

It also had the side effect of glowing lightly so you can easily see that it's on. I love how it came out.

Let me know what you guys think, i'm going to try to get better, clearer pictures but as you can see it's the long circular lens.

i've got the box i'm going to put it in, now I just need a hot glue gun to hold the board down and insulate the solder joints from the metal on the bottom of the box. Add some light dremeling and if all goes well i'll have it done tonight.

Is that the 9mm aixiz module, or the smaller one. It looks like mine and mine focuses perfectly. Make sure the lens is seated against the case. But...I do like your lens...I might just have to give it a try.. :)
