Is my blu-ray running at a healthy current?

I just made my first blu-ray :D although I was unable to measure the driving current. I tried measuring the current using a test load and kept running into problems. Out of frustration I decided to just slowly turn the pot until I thought it was lasing descent but not at its brightest. I was able to measure the voltage to be around 4.7-4.8 Volts. Can anyone tell me out of experience if you think I am running it at a safe current, or if this voltage is high and the current is probably risky? Thanks!

Also, I've now noticed the strange tricks blu-rays can play on your eyes. Are blu-rays any more dangerous to view than other colors? Do blu-rays have some UV properties?

Thanks for your help! :)

Given the information at hand, there is no possible way to tell what current you are running. How much resistance is in the line overall? How many turns from full resistance to 0ohm on the pot? Are you running a driver? which one?

The voltage seems fine, but its the current that you need to worry about, which as I said we have no way of knowing if its safe or not without some more info.
