this is the first time to try to fit a br in a mini box besides some thing big that does not fit in ur pocket it measures out to be 3 inches long, but here are some pics let me no what any one thinks about it

im trying to get a vidio of this br because this beam is way more visable than my 150mw dorcy :eek: so im thinking its more than 5mw

thsnks... yea i got it there i just added a mini switch so it can stay on, i cant belive how awsome the beam is :eek:

Really nice work Jake. Your work keeps getting better and better! Yeah I love firing the BRs into different things. Green plastic toys, radiator coolant, drops of olive oil on a CD, etc.

yea same here give me a week or to im going to have a killer br host, and if every thing goes rite ill have 2 in one, one br diode and one open can in one flashlight ;)

Nice work! There's nothing wrong with a laser brick!! In some ways it's more practical than using a flashlight body.. easy to set down or 'tailstand' or just leave on. Also easier to get access to the innards for additional mods :)

How much current are you dumping though that diode - it does look bright!

It's amazing how bright the beam is on mine at night also. During the day it doesn't look that bright, but at night it's keen.

Mine is still going after hours of use, on my third 9-volt battery. Using only 30mA it doesn't have a duty cycle - I can leave it on and the diode just barely gets warm.

i just used a 33 ohm resistor, at night this thing is like a flashlight its has a very very brite beam i swear its beter than mt dorcy jr :)
here is a comparison of my box to a 9v batt and i added a on/off switch :)

i just made a mini driver for my red diode, now im going to make one for my other br diode and its going to be more tiny than thin one,maybe the size of the 9v batt if i can find a box that small :)
