Does anyone know of ANYWAY to turn an actual Ledshoppe 50mw Greenie into a balloon popper and/or a burner without gutting it !--

omg... I'm gonna say it for maybe the 1000 time. GREEN LASERS ARE NO LONGER POT MODABLE

you can remove the driver and make your own, and slighty increase the current to the pump. If you go more higher than the current delivered by the driver, you have risk to blow your diode. But the ouput will be better.
I fried many of my greenie with bad manipulation, so try at your own risk ! =)

The consensus on the forum is that you will decrease the life of the PotModed
laser... I found that information by reading the Threads/Posts...
Plus... not all cheap 532nm laser pointers have drivers with a pot to adjust...

Hey you can use a lense to focus your laser to a small pinpoint. There, you can pop balloons.

my 50mw ledshoppe greenie pops balloons with ease from upto 6 ft maybe a smidge more. i cheat and sharpie a dot on my water balloon balloons. its fast 2-3 seconds and bam gone . we have seen clear round dots at just over a mile .

ps. dont drop it. and the switch seems to be an issue after 5-6 sets of batteries . but for 25$ ill buy another with no probs

I got 14 of the 50 mW units, usually 48- 78 mW and a total of two of these was >78 mW, the last one I got is doing 139 to 169 mW it will light a match or pop any color balloon I have tried it on, even dark green!

I have 2 ledshoppe 50 mw's and the both pop dark balloons with in 2 secs from 3 feet. also they are both pot modable

That was a good idea, sticking a 10440 in there. I had another host that fit the back end of my LED SHOPPE LASER perfectly, so with the single battery in there, now my whole laser is only 4" long total length, & NOW puts out 80mW's. GREAT IDEA, +1 REP...........rob
