Has anyone ever used this as a host with an aixiz module? If so what needs to be done? It's a Coast Led Lenser keychain with a tail clicky. 4 Button cells go in it. I like it because you need to press the clicky all the way down in order for it to stay on, but if you just press it in a little it is a very nice momentary switch.

I'm sure it would be possible, the host looks about the size of some of the other tiny builds on the forum (think: JayRob!).

That looks like a nice little host and could surely be modified into a laser build using the tiny new version 4 FlexDrive! The battery is the thing to consider. The button cells will not do for a FlexDrive...

I know that a 10220 will work, but it is only 90mAh's capacity. If there is room for a 10280 (10mm X 28mm), they you can have 200mAh's! :)

The other thing is, I think the 10280's are hard to get a hold of these days...

What is the I.D. of the battery compartment?

rough measurement is 13mm wide, and probably an absolute max of 24mm deep if I were to shorten the spring.

It would have to be machined, which I cannot do. But if it were drilled out like only 1mm and the tailcap somehow shortened, then I am almost certain a 14mm x 25mm battery would work.

I can see from your pictures that the tail cap could easily be shortened. Because the threads dont start for a couple of mm.

These tiny builds are cool, but the smaller the build, the harder it is!

Does the head unscrew from the body?

Sadly no :'(

But you can take a hammer and something that fits down the hole and knock the LED assembly out! Yay! ;D
