Laser Lamp

Images are quite self explanatory. Feasibility/safety of this?

Only a few things which make me think twice about this:

1. Higher it goes, harder it is to point at, but better spread.
2. Needs to be high enough so it can't damage anyones eyes looking at it from below. Ideally green should be used.
3. Helicopter / low flying aircraft safety & distractions.

Another possibility is attaching it to the bottom of toy UFO/helicopter, creating a local alien hoax.

I'm not suggesting it be done in a city, which is the riskiest, but maybe a small village/town.

People on the ground wouldn't be able to see the beams anyway.

Hehe... this is one of the crazier ideas i've seen in a while.

I suppose it could actually work though, and i see no reason people on the ground would not the able to see the beams bouncing off the grating. I guess you could as well lift the laser + power supply into the air though... otherwise you'd need a pretty big grating and/or very good aim to make it work

Well more lasers the better, even if they don't see the beams they will see the dots everywhere.

Don't think it will be too difficult to hit using a tripod. Maybe I was inspired by this scene from Pixar's Wall-E?
