i don't see the date of the topic (started january) and was in "fear mode" that the diode from Mike's I-plot were depleted. *
I receive a diode "5mkj 9021" *from Greg, 31/05/2008 , and push it to 400 ma, no problem at all, but died coz of mistake i think. I received 2 other diode which are exactly the same "5mkj 9021" 8/07/2008, and i will drive it not above 350 mA, so i can reach +/-220 mw according to Mike's graph

now they have at stonetek.org the SLD1239JL-54 diode, does anyone now what the average/max is of the diode in milliamps?
obviously i won't simply set my driver to X MA and try, but i will gently increase the milliamps

Up your driver to 350 mA to run safely this diode (i fried one at 400+)

thanks, i'll try to go up to 350Ma when my parts are arrived, but the image from the first post of this topic is from the SLD1239JL diode, and i have the SLD1239JL-54 diode.
i'll try to use the image from drlava
