IDEA : Burning blue laser lightsaber

I was cleaning my house and I found a really old build your own lightsaber kit.I probably got it when I was 6 or 7,so I opened it up and realized that the lightsaber " tube " would be a great laser host.

I made a little thing that was baisically a plastic model of a PHR-803T burning blue laser.I placed it inside and it fit perfectly with some cotton balls to hold it in place.I drilled a hole in the side and the fake button fit through.The wires were hard to get in,they are plastic LOL.

Anyways,you then drill a hole in the top of the lightsaber plastic toy blade, press the button,and it would be like a real working lightsaber,just a much thinner beam.

You could do this with almost anything including laser pens.

This wasn't really supposed to be a tutorial,but please try it out! It's really fun.

what would be a good idea is to use a beam expander, that would be a really nice effect.

Hey momo, i know it's not a tutorial but a pic would still be nice. are you leaving the light saber "tube" on. or using the beam as the light saber. rog8811 is making one with a retractable tip so the beam isn't infinite. you should check it out. also PHR, blu-ray, yes the are burners, no they are not blue.
