I currently have a Wicked lasers Arctic and I want to Pot mod it

Pulverize
I want it gutted, everything on the inside removed while keeping the outside the same

Overhaul
Custom copper heatsink, buy a few 9mm diodes, find the most efficient one and sell off the rest, getting as much power as possible.

Treasure
Do an amazing review and put it among the ranks of the most epic handheld's in history

My budget $400, I do not have the skills yet to accomplish this task but do you? If your up to it PM me.

That's a bit more than a pot mod :p

What does the heatsink inside the Arctic look like anyway? I may be able to do something on my lathe.

I have no idea check out this thread this may also help

Thanks. That's what I was looking for.

I would love to do this, but I've already got a load of laser stuff on my plate and I don't think I would get to it for a while. LPMs, multiple multi-diode builds, fixing other peoples lasers is keeping me busy :p

If you can get it done by June I don't care how long you take :p

Hope this works out well for ya. I originally came to say "I hope your pot mod fails" but I think I will take that thought back! Keep us updated on this please!

you could contact mrcrouse about getting the heatsink made and from there it should be an easy process.

Out of curiosity I calculated how much (roughly) a silver heatsink would cost and by my calculations a silver heatsink the same dimensions of the heatsink in this thread would cost $265 not including what is lost from machining.... yea I think I will stick with copper :p

I'm not sure if he will use the same heatsink due to the 9mm diode producing much more heat than A130 diode.

How much power do you think I can (Reasonably) get out of this thing?

p.s. I calculated the cost of silver heatsink based on the atomic mass of aluminum compared to silver, like so ((107.8682/26.981532)x2.085)x $ of silver per ounce so I did not actually need the dimensions :D.
