i want to make a laser..

as u can tell by the username i know nothing about lasers or diodes or anything..i watched a few videos of diy lasers and they are awsome..i think making a laser is friggin sweet...now where to start?..an easy cool laser for a noob like myself? i want to put this laser on a table or sumthing and use difraction grating (i think its called) to produce more beams and just have a cool little "oh i made that" thing....but be advised this is my new hobby..lasers have grabbed me by the boo boos.

I suggest that you get a PHR diode (blu-ray) pressed in an axiz moule from Modwerx or Dark Lasers and that you buy this driver from Rayfoss :

Rayfoss , ask them to set it to 100mA

And get a host and heatsink kit from Jayrob.
