hot glue gun for glue?

I'm making a blu-ray in a project box, and the hole for the AixiZ module is just big enough do the threads do not keep the module in place(I am not using the back half of the module).

my question is could I use a hot glue gun to glue the module in? I'm asking because I've heard of all these thermal glues and such, but this has nothing to do with heatsinking or electrical parts, this is just for keeping the module in place. Will this work?

I was literally sitting here waiting for an answer because I am trying to get this blu-ray done tonight and glueing it in is the last thing I have to do! LOL
