i saw this video off you tube the other day and i got the module and i am trying to figure out how to get the diode out. what are some of the methods u guys used to get the diode out of the module

Hey - I PM'd you - use a wooden dowel to "punch" the old diode out of there so you can put in the new diode.....I personally used an ice-pick and a hammer - no such thing as finesse when you KNOW you want that 10mw diode out, and are going to put in a 200+mw diode ! LOL

Mike offered this advice and it works. Use a vice and a 6 penny nail (head placed against the diode - tip against the vice). the vice will close and gently press the diode out...
