Has anyone put a 445nm diode into a Star Trek 2009 phaser?

I've seen videos of Blu-Ray diodes put into Star Trek 2009 phasers, but what about 445nm diodes? Has anyone done that? Does the Playmates toy have enough room inside for the driver and the batteries? And how wide is this gap?

I have done one with 650nm. The driver is no problem The issue is the original battery holder is for AAA's. You can't get enough current out of that size for a powerful 445nm. You could remove the battery tray which would probably allow enough room for a couple of AA(14500)'s. I have considered attempting this; but have not done so.
