I second the question of why to stick with a 5mw red? DX has powerful reds for cheap just like the greens.

build a driver, im gonna do a GB with printed DDL circuit boards, so you just stick in the components and add some solder.

stick with a DX 5mW green module, and a senkat red. or mabe even an open can??

how much would those circuit boards be?

I cant guarantee a price, but I'm trying to keep em at 2.99 a piece, maybe even less!

wow, sounds good, how big do u think they would be?

right now its .675 in by .875 in each.

im still not fully done with the design, and it may even get smaller! the only disadvantage of a smaller board is a crowded and cramped board...

hum... maybe i could add a bluray, and make the battery pack seperate, that clips on? might be too big for my taste though.... :p

Well, since blu rays don't use up a lot of current, you can use a normal 9v battery. ;)

ya i know, but i would want to have separate batteries for each laser to increase battery life

Well it's obvious you need to use separate batteries for each laser, use two RCR123s for the high powered red diode, another RCR123 to power the green laser module from DX, and a 9v battery to power the blu ray. If you can make the two LM317 drivers small enough, you can still fit everything in there. It would all be packed up pretty tight, but it can be done. IMO

oh, im sure it can, just not at my skill level, lol :p, and i had in the plans, AA or AAA, but, cr123's would fit much better, just not as available :(
