This is more of a theoretical thread but what about green diodes we all know that current green is produced via IR pumping but what would it take for a diode manufacture to produce a green diode

They already have green, non DPSS, diodes.

I guess I should have been more specific I was wanting to talk the science behind it not the product

I know what you wanted. There is A LOT of info out there, and it has been discussed here quite a few time already.

Instead of us spending hours debating, and regurgitating the same info, it would be much easier for you to do your own homework. The info you want is out there, we dont need to go over the whole thing, again, just because you dont want to use a search engine.

Is this specific enough for you?
