I need 6v in my minimag, it has 3. I was thinking different batteries, but I would need a dummy battery then right? can someone plz give my sugestions?

Go get yourself some 14500's they are AA sized rechargables at 3.6v each

No, you need a special charger for it. DX sells both protected li-ion rechargable 14500's and a charger for pretty cheap.
