Does anyone know if the boost circuit in the Dorcy flashlights is adjustable (i.e., via feedback resistor, etc) to regulate current at different levels?

that is a good question. Without modification to the circuit itself no it is not adjustable. I've just posted some pictures of the circuit itself and am waiting for responses to that on how to modify the circuit to suit adjustability.

Probably all you can do is adjust the current to your diode downward by adding a series resistor.

no the dorcy mini driver boards usually use 10ohm resistors we wanna mount a 7-5 in there for 220 mw

Hmm. Using a Dorcy with an external 1 Ohm resistor and a GB diode I'm seeing right at 250ma. I take it that most people are seeing less current than that?
