DIY XY scanner using DC motors (sorta) PICTS

So any ways I used dc motors on this, I put on counter weights on the ends were you would put mirrors on a spirograph, I put mirrors on the side of the motors so they vibrate, I use a pot to adjust patterns here are the picts.

That is pretty damn cool toked, a nice bit of lateral thinking....

A movie of the variations of patterns would be good to see :)

Im working on it rog I dont have time tonight maybe(exams tomorrow) but I might if not today then tomorrow. Im also thinking of adding a 3rd one.

oh yea this wont work without counter weights because you need them to shake the motor. I used a piece of glue stick as it has to be light to make it vibrate and not shake violently. total time to make was about 15 minutes. I love it. I am making a compilation of this with a spirograph to see what i end up with.

Wow, yea, those patterns look sweet in the pictures.It would be nice to see how they change in real time too.Cool idea anyway! :D
